John Woodburn Obituary, Death – John Woodburn, affectionately known as “Woody,” peacefully departed this world on May 15th, 2023, at the age of 80, while residing in Stow, Ohio. His passing left a void, as there was no apparent cause of death, leaving those who cherished him in somber reflection.

John first graced this world on December 24, 1942, in the vibrant city of Washington, District of Columbia. His proud parents, Jack Woodburn and Ruth Woodburn (née Porter), welcomed their precious son with open arms. John’s memory will forever linger in the hearts of those closest to him. He leaves behind his daughter, Annette (Dan) Hintz, and his brother.

Bill Woodburn (Peggy), who will undoubtedly feel the profound loss of his presence. In addition, his uncle David and aunt Christy, along with their three children, Vicky, Gabby, and Lexi, share in this sorrowful farewell. John’s extended family includes his aunt Laura, alongside her children Alyssa and Tyler, as well as his three nieces and two nephews, all of whom cherished their connection with him.

Throughout his life, John’s journey was interwoven with the lives of Ed and Denise Gazdacko and their four daughters, Heather, Jessie, Misty, and Karra. The Gazdacko family’s unwavering care and support spanned nearly two decades, effectively becoming an extension of John’s own family. Together, they reveled in the warmth of holidays and joyously partook in various family gatherings.

John’s educational path led him through Solon High School, where he proudly earned his high school diploma. Eager to pursue further studies, he continued his education at Adrian College. Following this, John dedicated four years of his life in service to the United States Navy, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his country. To honor John’s memory.

Both the memorial service and interment will take place in Ohio. The memorial service is scheduled to be held at the Tabone Komorowski funeral home in Solon, a place where friends and family can gather to celebrate his life. John’s final resting place will be the Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, a serene location befitting his memory. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make contributions in John’s honor to the Garfield Memorial Church, located at 3650 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, Ohio 44124.
