The two eldest Cambridge kids made a surprise appearance at a Jubilee engagement outside London today.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte—minus 4-year-old Prince Louis—joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Cardiff Castle in Cardiff, Wales, where they viewed preparations ahead of the city's Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert tonight. The visit holds a special meaning for the family, as Willam and George are both future Princes of Wales.

For the visit, which included a walk outside the castle where the Cambridges received flowers, the kids dressed in muted colors, with George sporting a navy suit, light blue shirt, and brown shoes similar to his father's outfit. Charlotte wore a black wool coat by favored brand Amaia and slate blue Mary Janes.

During the rehearsals, the Cambridge family took to the on stage as an orchestra played Welsh singer Tom Jones' hit "Delilah," later moving closer to watch a drummer perform a drum roll. They also watched dancers and young musical performers on the castle lawns.

Young George and Charlotte also got the chance to meet some local residents who were allowed inside the castle. William had his arm wrapped around George's shoulder, and encouraged the boy to shake some hands. Charlotte also came closer to the crowd while holding her mother's hand.

The Wales visit comes during a busy Jubilee for the Cambridge kids, who seem to be attending more events as they get older. All three of the siblings attended Trooping the Colour Thursday, riding in the carriage with Duchess Kate and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. They're also expected to attend tonight's Platinum Party at the Palace concert.
